Methodology
How the numbers work
Store locations are from the supplied store list. All trading, service, loyalty, staffing, coverage and service-availability values are synthetic demonstration data. No feed shown here is live.
Reconciliation checks
Computed live from the demonstration dataset (last 30 days)
- Store IDs are unique. 71 unique IDs for 71 stores
- Service counts overlap and are not summed. Service-location counts add to 275; network uses 71 unique stores
- Store → region → network sales reconcile. Stores $14.5M = regions $14.5M = network $14.5M (30 days)
- Net sales = gross − discounts − returns. $16.3M − $1.3M − $496.6K = $14.5M
- Per-entry numerator matches covered stores only. 51,249 transactions ÷ 172,143 entries from 39 covered stores
- Missing entry counts are excluded, not zeroed. 17 store-days had POS sales but no valid entry count; their transactions are left out of the per-entry numerator too (92,684 total vs 51,249 overlap transactions)
- Comparable stores traded through both periods. 71 comparable, 0 new stores reported separately
- Brief "What changed" reproduces on Stores › Comparable. 51,249 ÷ 172,143 = 29.77% across 39 matched stores (overview: 39 incl. new)
- Brief "Who contributed most" reproduces on Stores › Comparable › Southeast. $3.6M − $3.7M = -$97.7K across 18 stores
- Brief "What to investigate next" reproduces on Stores › Watchlist. 2 stores, $12.0K scenario (brief: 2, $12.0K)
- Service revenue kept separate from retail. Retail $14.5M; services $537.4K — never combined in rate metrics
- Event and partner revenue excluded. Not modeled as UNTUCKit revenue anywhere in the dashboard
Checks for hourly, weekly and weather features
Separate from the 12 original checks · estimated hourly data and simulated weather
- Estimated hourly totals reconcile to daily totals (7 days). Hours: 21,490 txns, 39,699 entries, $3.4M · daily: 21,490, 39,699, $3.4M
- Estimated hourly totals reconcile to daily totals (30 days). Hours: 92,684 txns, 172,143 entries, $14.5M · daily: 92,684, 172,143, $14.5M
- Estimated hourly totals reconcile to daily totals (90 days). Hours: 277,965 txns, 514,990 entries, $43.3M · daily: 277,965, 514,990, $43.3M
- Closed hours and missing counts stay distinct. 330 sampled store-days: closed days carry no activity; stores/days without valid counts have entries = missing, never 0
- Weekly rows sum to period; partial weeks excluded from growth (30 days). 5 rows (1 partial) = $14.5M vs $14.5M
- Weekly rows sum to period; partial weeks excluded from growth (90 days). 13 rows (1 partial) = $43.3M vs $43.3M
- Weather baseline precedes the evaluated window (7 days). Baseline Aug 25 – Sep 21 · evaluated Sep 22 – Sep 28 · ≥3 valid same-weekday days · wet 54 / dry 211 store-days
- Weather baseline precedes the evaluated window (30 days). Baseline Aug 2 – Aug 29 · evaluated Aug 30 – Sep 28 · ≥3 valid same-weekday days · wet 341 / dry 801 store-days
- Weather baseline precedes the evaluated window (90 days). Baseline Jun 3 – Jun 30 · evaluated Jul 1 – Sep 28 · ≥3 valid same-weekday days · wet 1,060 / dry 2,370 store-days
- Insufficient evidence is still reported when thresholds are not met. Same data with an unattainable sample threshold returns 'Evidence insufficient'
Metric definitions
- Store entries (measured by Dôr)
- Anonymous main-entrance door entries. Entries are not unique shoppers, households or identified customers: they include service customers (alteration drop-offs/pick-ups, styling appointments, online-order pickup, eveon), repeat visits and accompanying visitors. Dôr does not determine visit purpose. Days with a missing count are excluded, never set to zero.
- Retail transactions per entry
- Total retail POS transactions ÷ valid measured entries, for the same stores and the same days (overlap). Not unique-customer purchase conversion.
- Average retail ticket
- Net retail sales ÷ retail transactions.
- Retail revenue per entry
- Net retail sales ÷ valid measured entries, same stores and days (overlap). Contributing store count shown alongside.
- Net retail sales
- Gross merchandise sales − discounts − returns. Excludes service revenue, online ship-to-home orders and wholesale and marketplace revenue.
- Network rates
- Summed numerators ÷ summed denominators — never an average of store rates.
- Matched traffic comparison
- Traffic and transactions-per-entry changes use only stores with valid entry counts in both periods, and compare average entries/transactions per valid-count day, so periods with different outage days are not penalised.
- Comparable stores
- Stores trading throughout both the current and prior period. All period-over-period changes use this set; new stores are shown separately.
- Tailoring capacity (appointment slots)
- Utilization = booked appointments ÷ available appointment slots. Completion = completed ÷ booked.
- Training capacity (class seats)
- Seat utilization = session attendances ÷ class seats offered. Enrollments counted once per 6-session course.
- Fitting Room capacity (fitting-room hours)
- Occupancy = occupied fitting-room hours ÷ available suite-nights.
- Ship-from-Store capacity (daily order slots)
- Fill = orders fulfilled ÷ available order slots per open day (no ship-from-store on Sundays).
- Outside UNTUCKit revenue
- Partner and charity event activity is excluded from retail and service revenue.
- Attachment
- UNTUCKit customer account-linked tailoring visits with a same-day retail purchase ÷ completed tailoring services (synthetic linked records).
- Channels
- Each sale counted once. Pickup and delivery are store-fulfilled but excluded from per-entry metrics.
Demonstration assumptions
- 71 stores from the supplied list — the full official locator as of 7 Oct 2026 (70 U.S., 1 Canada). The Edmonton store is shown at the map\'s northern edge and grouped with the West region.
- Formats (Compact / Standard / Large) and square footage are assumptions, not UNTUCKit data.
- Verified vs simulated store data: store number, name, address, phone, hours and store-page link come from the supplied list. Service availability, format, square footage, staffing schedules and reporting coverage are simulated and were not verified against UNTUCKit store listings. Any analysis that groups or filters by them (peer groups, service pages, staffing views, coverage counts) inherits that simulation.
- Entrance-count outages are simulated on ~1.2% of trading days in covered stores to show that missing measurements are excluded rather than zeroed.
- Daily entries scale with format and local demand, with weekday/weekend patterns, a July 4 dip and rare closure days.
- Example: 300 entries × 30 days × 45% × $55 = $222,750 monthly retail sales. An arithmetic example, not a UNTUCKit benchmark.
- Service prices assumed: styling $139 per enrollment, Fitting Room $52 per fitting-room hour, Ship-from-Store $34 per session; tailoring $64–$90 per service.
- Traffic coverage: 39 stores; staff schedules: 26 stores; bookings: 71 stores. Missing inputs show as unavailable, never zero.
- Opportunity figures are potential incremental revenue under stated assumptions, not forecasts or guaranteed results. Retail and service opportunities are calculated separately.
- Weather, promotions and events are context only; no causal claims are made.
Hourly and weekly patterns (modeled)
- Hourly figures are modeled: each store-day's existing daily entries, transactions and sales are split across that store's listed trading hours with a deterministic intraday curve. They are not measured hourly counts.
- Integer allocation uses largest remainders, so every store-day's hours sum exactly to its daily totals; hourly → daily → weekly → period totals reconcile.
- Times are store-local (Eastern, Central, Mountain, Pacific, Alaska, Hawaii by state). Closed hours are shown as closed, never zero; days without valid counts are excluded from entry metrics.
- Weeks run Tuesday–Monday, ending on the as-of date. Rates per hour or week are pooled from totals, never averaged across stores.
Weather context (illustrative)
- Weather is illustrative, not observed: deterministic by state and date with latitude adjustment, generated independently of store performance.
- Traffic index = Σ entries ÷ Σ expected entries, where expected is each store's own same-weekday average over max(selected period, 28 days). Comparison days stay inside the selected period.
- A group is reported only with ≥300 store-days, ≥20 stores and ≥5 dates; otherwise "evidence insufficient". Associations are not causal.
Store map behavior
- Page filters (period, region) apply everywhere; map-only filters (service, format, coverage, watchlist, search) affect the map and list only.
- Coverage stays visible in every color mode: dashed outline = sales only; amber outline = traffic coverage issue. Cluster figures pool eligible totals.
- "Fit filtered locations" frames the current filtered stores; "Reset view" returns to the national view. Map selections persist for the browser session.
- Positions: Census address match, interpolated, or ZIP-centre approximate (flagged on each store card).

Pilot outline
For discussion — no pricing, commitments or guaranteed results implied
- Select stores across service configurations: retail + limited services, tailoring/styling, and Fitting Room/Ship-from-Store.
- Install Dôr entrance sensors (anonymous door entries only) and connect UNTUCKit POS; add bookings, staff schedules and UNTUCKit customer account links where available.
- Establish each store's own baseline, then review transactions per entry, peak-hour patterns and service utilization with store operations.
- Agree success measures together before the pilot starts.

Privacy-first traffic, read alongside what stores already know
Dôr measures one thing: anonymous door entries at the main entrance — no cameras, no images, no personal data. It does not identify individual customers and does not determine why anyone visited. Sales, service bookings, UNTUCKit customer account and staff schedules come from UNTUCKit's own POS, booking, loyalty and scheduling systems; the dashboard lines those up with measured entries for the same stores and days.
- Sales-only stores: sales, ticket, mix and service trends from POS and bookings.
- Where entries are measured: transactions per entry and revenue per entry on days both feeds report, plus peak-hour patterns.
Proposed next step
A pilot across selected stores
For example, a mix of retail-only, tailoring/styling and Fitting Room stores across two regions, measured against each store's own baseline. Scope, timing and terms to be agreed together.
